First Big Win!

This custom was the first thing I every entered in a custom show. I could have started smaller than the largest show on earth, the LA Hot Wheels Nationals Show. I won the Amateur category that allowed me to compete in the professional category from that point forward. Not at all the best piece I’ve made but started a long journey of competing in custom shows.

I used a lot of materials on this one for the first time. The windows are screen door covering. The Zombie catcher hooks on the top are stick pins and the rack on top was a combination of Matchbox car parts, cobbled together. This was also the first time I used salt to create a weathering effect, might have been the last time as well…isn’t my favorite way to make a little car look weathered.
