Stretch Dairy From the Wastelands

I had high hopes for this one. I had the idea of a car with a really long drive train with massive rear wheels . I got the idea from those tractor races with modified tractors to pull heavy weights. I figured in the apocalyptic future, you’d want to drive really fast down long straight roads. At least that’s how it works in the movies.

It looks pretty good, but I ran into two problems. First I couldn’t figure out a way to paint all the details different colors..because you can see all the wires and tubes from every angles, it was a pain to paint. I settled on a copper color, with weathering pigments, but I’m not fond of the color.

The second issue was I didn’t think about the inside of the cab, I didn’t leave any room for seats or a dash. The back of the cab is open, so you can see it doesn’t have a space for the driver. Also…windows..I used Mylar to tint the windows, but all in all. I don’t think it worked out.

However, I really like the curved pipes flaring out on the sides. I also love the detail work with the tubes and wires. it’s hard to see in the pictures, but there are custom fenders as well, that are pretty elaborate, but they get lost in the design.
